Locus Reports

Made up of a base of former Police team members, APU staff are exceptionally experienced and investigations will be prepared for most thoroughly.

The word ‘locus’ (plural ‘loci’) is Latin for ‘place’.

A Locus Report is often used in legal cases to determine the cause of an accident, who was at fault and how specific injuries occurred.

Our expert team will visit the scene of the accident, assemble the information required and produce the locus report. Typically, this information will include:

  • Measurements
  • Digital photography
  • Detailed sketches
  • Witness statements

Because of our base of former Police team members, APU staff are exceptionally experienced and investigations will be prepared for most thoroughly. The final reports submitted will always be completed to the highest professional standards.

All of our investigators are fully trained and experienced in this type of evidence-gathering. The agent who is assigned to the case will be able to provide a detailed sketch of the accident scene, which we will prepare in-house for use in court or service on the other party.

The APU team has a broad range of insurance knowledge and investigative experience, enabling us to comment authoritatively and accurately with regards to liability in a manner that is easy to digest by claims handlers.

Video footage of routes and scenes can also be provided, if necessary.
